Privacy Scavenger Hunt

We have done with to investigate the state of privacy at university! The purpose of this scavenger hunt is to investigate the state of specific privacy and security matters on at campus. our team works for 4 weeks to complete these activities. following is a record of the progress of our activities.

Private browsing:
                                           We checked different sites with and without private browsing using Mozilla developer edition browser. We also done same thing using chrome while using private browsing the cache and history was not saved.

Encryption:

Software Updates:
                                                We made a team and asked them to meet people in general lab and ask them to check their software updates and update them if available.

Outdated Operating Systems:
                                                                          We meet with lab assistant and with other students to ask them about how many system in our campus are running outdated operating system such as window xp of red hat, fedora but luckily we don’t found any one.

Privacy Settings:

FireFox Day & "Take back the Web"

Celebrated Firefox day at campus ,i really appreciate the great effort of all team members specially "Mr.Attique" for his contribution on raising voice for Mozilla.
Activities:
Explored different Firefox features such as :
Firefox Accounts, Firefox Profiles, Firefox Sync, Firefox Hello, Pocket Integration, Tiles, Customization, Themes
Also told attendees about
Firefox Release Channels, Firefox Share, Social & Email Activation Services, Add-ons, Plugins, etc.
Discussed about Campus Campaign "Take Back The Web campus campaign".

Look Who's Tracking

We held a session on Web privacy and told students about cyber security and teach how to use light beam to know who is tracking you as well as how to block those sites.
